Legal
Terms
Last updated 6 October 2026. These are the rules for using Meridian.
The service
Meridian is a website of self-reflection tests and two published questionnaires. By using it you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.
Not a clinical service
Results are for self-understanding. They are not medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice, and they are not a diagnosis. Do not use them for hiring, school placement, legal, or clinical decisions.
The PHQ-9 and GAD-7 are published screening questionnaires in the public domain, scored as their authors specify. A score is not a diagnosis. The other pages in the library are original reflections. If you might act on thoughts of suicide, or you are in immediate danger, call or text 988 in the US, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 in Australia, or find a helpline for your country at findahelpline.com.
Accounts
Tests do not need an account. An account needs an email you confirm, and a password of at least 8 characters with a letter and a number. You can also log in from a link or code we email you, or with Google or Apple. You are responsible for that login. One person per account. Do not share it, resell it, or use it to scrape the tests.
Paid plan
The theme and the scores are free. The monthly plan is $8 a month, billed by Stripe, and it renews at that same price until you unsubscribe. There is no trial and no later increase. The checkout page states the price again before you pay.
Unsubscribe from the unsubscribe page. That stops the next charge. You keep access until the end of the month already paid. Refunds are described on the refund page.
Age
You must be at least 16. If you are under 18, use the site with a parent or guardian.
Our writing, and yours
The original prompts, reports, and design belong to Meridian. The PHQ-9 and GAD-7 items belong to their authors and are shown with attribution. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to take the tests and read your own results. You do not receive a license to copy the question banks or republish the reports.
No promised outcome
A result depends on how you answer that day. We do not promise a change in work, relationships, health, or any other outcome.
Stopping access
We may close an account that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used for fraud. Amounts already owed stay owed.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that affects a paid plan, the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the site after that is acceptance of the new terms.
Contact
Questions about these terms go through the contact page.
